A significant 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck Panama, near Nargana island in the Caribbean, with tremors felt in Panama City.

The IGC Geoscience Institute estimated the magnitude at 6.2, but no immediate damage was reported.

Meanwhile, Indonesia experienced a powerful 7.1 magnitude quake in the Bali Sea region, centered north of Mataram.

The earthquake, 516 km deep, didn’t trigger a tsunami, according to the US Tsunami Warning System.

Coastal areas of Bali and Lombok felt the initial tremor followed by magnitude 6.1 and 6.5 aftershocks.
