In a society where environment endangered by humans most of all, this girl live Zero-Waste by saving all her trash in this small jar.

Isn’t it absolutely unbelievable how five years of trash can fit into this tiny container? Lauren Singer is a firm believer of preserving our environment as much as possible. When her conscience really nhit her hard, she decided to go Zero-Waste.

Eager to know what’s in the jar? Well, it consists of wrappers she had from before going zero waste, tying bands from retail stores, straws from her drinks, Tags from inside the clothes, a credit card, protective seals, Silica packets and bad aids along with some festival bracelets. Not only does she put all this waste in the jar, she also tries to avoid carrying any source of wastage that she might find difficult to fit in the jar.

Explaining further, she told her main wastage sources were food packaging, food waste and products packaging. So she decided to find alternatives to the daily routine things that bring waste alongside. She started composting, buying from the farmers’ market (to avoid shopping bags and stuff), and the best of all, she started making her own beauty products resulting in most of her trash being eliminated completely. Isn’t she a winner? Well thinking on the initiative alone is something highly appreciable. As we grow towards asphyxiating our environment, heroes like Lauren can delay the end of this world by a few more years maybe. Lauren herself says that if individuals take steps on their own, the world can collectively make a huge difference.

One suggestion from our side, avoid the shopping bags you get for even petty things bought from the market. Start carrying those cloth bags sewn at homes to bring in all the stuff from the market. That will count as your start to the betterment of our society and this world as a whole.
