Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, announced that the first of these cutting-edge supersonic stealth fighters is anticipated to arrive in the Czech Republic by the year 2031. The full fleet of 24 F-35s will be at the disposal of the Czech military by 2035.

Fiala further elaborated, stating that, “The first F-35s will be ready for deployment in 2029, and our pilots will commence their training with these state-of-the-art aircraft in the United States during that period.

He emphasized that these F-35s represent a pivotal investment in the future of the Czech Republic’s tactical air forces, providing capabilities that will endure for decades to come.

Speaking about the strategic importance of this acquisition, Fiala stressed the significance of strengthening ties with NATO allies. He underlined the Czech Republic’s dedication to ensuring its national defense and its commitment to collaborating with its allies.
